From the neighborhood of Winter Hill, Somerville on the north side of Boston. Familial roots extend to Winter Hill for over one hundred years and remain in Boston back to the seventeenth century.

Worked for the state of Massachusetts as a teen while attending acting classes at night. Received membership into the Screen Actors Guild before moving to New York City. Studied with renowned acting teachers, Terry Schreiber, Alice Spivak and Julie Garfield.

Having also written for both the screen and stage, close relationships developed with many notable producers and entertainment veterans, particularly Merchant Ivory Productions.
